Hello! My name is Jill, I am a certified teacher, and I teach preschool out of my home. I love it! I earned my degree in elementary education and taught elementary school for 5 years before my first child was born. After he was born I started a home preschool and have continued that for 10 years.
This is an exciting, and a very different, year coming up. With everything that has been going on in the world due to covid-19, nobody knows for sure what will be happening in late August, but I'm hoping school will be back in session. With my small class sizes (8-12 kids) it is as safe as a school environment as there can be. We will be proactive about taking any sanitary and safety precautions that are needed.
I have some exciting changes and possibilities for the year. I will be switching to a Monday, Wednesday schedule so I can open up a 3rd day option (Thursdays) if there is enough interest. Ideally this third day would be for those kids who will be in Kindergarten the following year, but again I am waiting to see if there are enough families interested before I make a final decision. I will also have another teacher with me this year, we have taught together before and I'm very excited to have Ms.Christen joining us. In past years I've kept my 3 year old's (preschool) and 4 year old's (pre-K) combined but this year we're going to add a classroom and split the two groups up for lesson times. Christen has her degree in health science with an emphasis in public health so she will be keeping us informed and up to date on how to reduce health risks. I'm looking forward to these changes!
Preschool Program

Classes: Mondays and Wednesdays (with a possible Thursday addition) 9:30-12:00 for children aged 3-5
I follow the Francis Howell School District calendar, and the first day of school will be Wednesday, Aug 26th
Cost: $75 for registration and supplies for the year (this will also hold your child's place for the coming year), $90 per month (2 days), and $135 per month (if we add a 3rd day)
