Second Week

On Tuesday our we learned about our names and specifically, the first letter of our name. Today we had a lot of fun with our 5 senses. I am really enjoying this group of kids! They keep me busy and we're still working on expectations, but they are doing great! They get along really well together and I love watching them explore and learn new things.  I'm grateful to all of you for allowing me to spend my days with them. I hope you enjoy these pictures of all our fun and learning.

I love how engaged everyone is with their activities during morning tray time!

Making rolls to shape into the first letters of our names

We learned about trustworthiness for one of our preschool values and we practiced putting our thumbs up and saying "I'll do it" when asked to do something, then doing it. I was impressed with how much it helped with them following through on what they're asked to do.  Especially when we get down on their level and ask them to look in our eyes when we're letting them know what we need them to do.

Water play during outside play time- I've been so grateful for all of Ms. Christen's help!

Another good thumbs up :)

Fun at the light table

Seeing if I looked yellow through the colored magnifying glass...I did!

Lots to see, feel, smell, taste, and hear

These kiddos did a great job using their words and listening to each other to figure out how to share the toy. We talked about talking and listening respectfully today.  We described respect as showing someone how special and important they are by the way we treat them.

Working together to build towers

Setting up a date :)

We played with edible playdough

Lots of thumbs up to tell me when it was time to come in from recess they would all come right in....and they did!

Playing on the log walk

After reading "Brown Bear Brown Bear" we had fun acting out the different animals.
